I’m a MACTE trained Montessori Guide, creative movement teacher, writer and certifying birth and postpartum doula. I got into Montessori over 14 years ago through my own children’s school, Dundas Valley Montessori, where I’ve been working since 2011. I work primarily with 3-6 year-olds (Casa dei bambini).When I’m not guiding children through the wonderful Montessori method or through creative movement, I’m spending most of my time writing. It has been my saving grace, a powerful tool and comforting friend after cancer number two came to greet me in 2023. Writing has been the thing that got me through the darkest moments. It can cut through the tangled web of thoughts that leave me feeling overwhelmed. But I have also come to realize that sharing my words can help others too. All it takes is a spark of recognition to know that we are not alone, that there is another person out there who shares the same experience. This knowing can make all the difference. As I move through the training modules and gain more hands on experience, I will add birthing assistance to the services that I offer.
