I am a postdoctoral researcher at Stockholm University funded by the Åke Wibergs Stiftelse. My current research looks at contemporary Taiwanese fiction that elaborates on the historical trauma of the White Terror, from a transnational and transgenerational perspective. Other research interests include Chinese prison writings, explorations of ideas of space and time, the relationship between history and fiction writing, world literature.

I have been awarded the 2021 Taiwan Fellowship by the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. My research project, titled “Exploring the Impossible Spaces of Modern Taiwanese Prison Literature” aims at analysing political prison narratives of the White Terror period.
