Thank you for visiting my LinkedIn page. My name is Serena Fangary and I am from Manhattan Beach, California. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Washington and I am working towards receiving a master’s degree in Social Work. I plan to work as a restorative justice specialist with underserved youth in a variety of school settings by providing counseling services or work as a school social worker in California or Washington State. I began working with young children as a preschool teaching assistant at Valor Christian Academy in 2017 and eventually became an after school tutor at various schools across the South Bay. During my sophomore year of college, I held a position in my sorority, Delta Gamma, as the Vice President of Finance from January of 2020 to December of 2020. In addition, since 2020, I have worked with a variety of children nannying, babysitting and working one on one with children with disabilities. During my undergraduate career, I was an intern at OC Human Relations where I worked as a restorative justice specialist to promote harm reduction in schools. Currently, I am in my last year of graduate school and I am also interning as a school social work intern at Thorndyke Elementary School in Tukwila, WA. I work hard to be empathetic, collaborative, and very open-minded, and I pride myself on being persistent and willing to work through any challenges thrown my way. I hope that these skills will allow me to be successful in my future career or any endeavors that I encounter.
