Edit video for the CBS 2 and FOX 28 morning shows to match producer's script. Gather video from national and local networks, run airchecks, edit and upload interview and news segments to CBS 2 and FOX 28 web pages. Prep FOX 28 morning show rundown, print rundowns and scripts, and direct the FOX 28 Morning Show.

Prepped studio for live shots, ran teleprompters, operated cameras (both stationary and handheld), edited headlines, teases, and local stories using AVID Newscutter and AVID iNews, prepared graphics and animations in director's still store list, mixed sound and music through the audio board, oversaw all DEKO graphics before they aired, and directed/technical directed production staff during news segments and teases.

Pitch stories at daily editorial meetings, shadow reporters in the field, record and edit audio for my news reel, report stories for news reel, make connections through community for potential stories.

Lead Chapter Marketing and Communications Committee members to achieve strategic marketing plan, network with statewide television and radio outlets to secure media sponsorships and promotion, assist Iowa Chapter in securing air time for nationally produced PSAs.

I prepared news reports and feature stories for on-air broadcast. I attended staff meetings to pitch story ideas and discuss current stories. I designed a podcast on social media and technology with The Tech Fire's founder, Chad Lieberman.

Contributed to company's Twitter and WordPress.org blog and persuaded greater emphasis in social media. Pioneered, scripted, edited and published three vlogs for the company's website. Imported and exported, color-corrected, added titles, and chroma key composited projects using Final Cut Pro. Assisted videographer in DC Taylor & Company's live blogging event of Governor Rick Perry.

Researched and conducted interviews with area businesses for publication with a readership of 10,000. Compiled questions and raised awareness for City Revealed to increase readership. Organized and self-edited articles, and reviewed corrections with interviewee. Participated in arts and entertainment events related to articles written to build business partnerships
