About Serene Ong

“People are at the heart of all we do” | "以人为本" - this purpose kickstarted my career in the civil service delivering social and financial assistance.Journeying with low income and vulnerable individuals/families across the lifespan enabled me to empathise with pain points and carry out interventions effectively. These honed my stakeholder engagement and project management skills, built upon strong case management and operational planning foundations.Through soldiering alongside fellow professionals with the passion for people, I saw how people within organisations are the key vehicles in delivering services and the organisation's mission productively. It is crucial for organisations to attract, retain and engage talents of suitable fit. Hence, I took a leap of faith to learn how organisations can harness the strengths of social capital, and develop strategic plans to not just do, but also find out how to do better together. So here I am - a resilient, versatile and driven systemic builder, who strives to empower entities and harness collective strengths to achieve organisational goals.
