- Provide leadership and direction to the PRSSA chapter and its members.- Coordinate with other chapter officers to plan and execute events, meetings, and activities.- Serve as the main point of contact for the PRSSA chapter and represent the chapter to the university, community, and other organizations.- Maintain communication with the PRSSA national organization and participate in national events and initiatives.- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for members to learn, grow, and connect with each other and the broader PR community.- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the chapter's visibility and reputation on campus and in the industry.- Attend and participate in regional and national PR conferences and events.- Continuously evaluate and improve the chapter's operations, programs, and member engagement.

Coordinate classroom visits each semester, as well as additional recruitment effortsWork with VP of Fundraising to record membership local and national dues for the semester.Work with VP of Communications to communicate with members about Chapter updates, including fundraisers, promotions, PRSA Austin and PRSSA National Events. Serve as Chapter liaison in regards to local-level event participation (i.e. Bobcat Build, Org Fair, Mixers, etc.)Responsible for meeting ice-breakers and other hospitality responsibilities at meetings and events.Ensure membership benefits are provided for our members, including scholarship and award opportunities, etc.Send out welcome letter to each member who signs up for PRSSA Compare and contrast lists to ensure that each member has paid, and each paid member has filled out the membership form Coordinate and carry out effort to recruit, enlist and retain membership Coordinate social activities for general membership Coordinate correspondence to members and traveling participants with the National Conference, National Assembly or Regional Conference, per semester Initiate programs to improve relationships between PRSSA and its campus and community publics Coordinate all local/regional special events with surrounding area Chapters · Support all other PRSSA members in their positions and assist with any extra needed projects

Assist with maintenance of website content to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information.Day-to-day maintenance of the event calendar, including communication with event hosts.Assist with content management and tracking for publications, e-newsletters (meetings, consumer), and partner database.Support day-to-day activities for blog program, including but not limited to working with guest and staff writers, and writing, researching and updating posts.Provide support for day-to-day social media efforts for Visit Austin leisure, music and meetings accounts (ex. drafting posts, curating content, editorial calendar development).Weekly photo and video outreach (ex. business community, photographers).Assist with management of Website email inbox.Assist CMO, Directors and Managers with other projects as needed.Regular maintenance of film database, including but not limited to auditing and updating current contacts and entries.Assist with maintenance of music content across Visit Austin channels, including but not limited to venue and artist database management, and events calendar listings.
