The program had all you’d expect from a business incubation program - training, mentors, a shoulder to cry on - but we made it even better. We assisted our startups in setting up the supply chain, creating product listings with EAN-codes, and applying for required certificates or permits. Startups also benefitted from joint marketing with established designers and received financial support to cover market entry costs.

Tenshi drives digital innovation enabling the early adoption of new technologies and digital solutions in a way that reduces risk and delivers innovation.During my time at Tenshi, I was working on various innovation projects for the public and private sector.

Tartu Science Park provides support for technology companies, including infrastructure and business development services.I was in charge of business development, including running a start-up incubator, strategic marketing and keeping an eye on the projects (during the peak this included 14 pan-European projects running simultaneously with a project management crew of 7 people). During my 10 years in Tartu Science Park I was involved in 40+ projects amounting to approximately 8M EUR total budget.Loved it, learned a lot, resigned prior to the end of the contract to talk the talk and walk the walk of what we have taught to our aspiring entrepreneurs - the only way to make your start-up thrive is to give it your all.

When there are 10+ international and domestic cooperation projects running, someone needs to know what is going on in each. So I stepped forward. Tasks included planning staff, budgets, activities, events, relations and partners to keep everything running smoothly.

I was responsible for everyday management and reporting for European Union funded cross-border cooperation projects with partners all over the Europe. Some examples of projects I was in charge of include CrossBo – EC DG Enlargement, FINESSE – Interreg IIIC, KISoLL – 6th FP, LogOn Baltic – Interreg IIIB, Innovation for Welfare – Interreg IVC, ICT DC Net - Estonia-Latvia Programme. There were times when I was responsible for 6 projects running simultaneously. Plus, since I was the only one in TSP with a public relations education, execution of organizations’ marketing and public relations activities naturally fell on my shoulders. Polished my press release writing skills, organised events and learned to handle CSS.
