With over 1 million accounts opened in the first 12 months, and 60 thousand active users with millions of page views per day, steemit.com demonstrated that a distributed, open source social network could gather a rapid following.I joined Steemit Inc as CFO, charged with building a team to support the administrative and financial infrastructure for the rapid growth of applications development teams needed to create multiple new products codenamed Destiny and Discovery.
