About Serge Van De Pavert

Our research bridges immunology, developmental biology, neurobiology, and cell biology, with a primary focus on the embryonic development of lymph nodes. We study how neural interactions and maternal dietary factors shape this process, highlighting the pivotal role of Lymphoid Tissue Inducer (LTi) cells, a key subset of the Innate Lymphoid Cell (ILC) family. Additionally, we are investigating the broader functions and characterization of ILCs during embryogenesis.Beyond lymph node development, our team explores cellular interactions within complex tissues. This includes exploring the roles of ILCs in embryos, macrophages in the brain, and immune cells in tumors.
