Distributed system for monitoring optical fibers: Integrate fiber monitoring capabilities into the existing multi-functional monitoring system. • Assessing project requirements, refining high-level ideas into system implementations. • Developing both backend and frontend, including among others, core alarm processing algorithm, push notifications, TLS negotiation (raw sockets), automatic database migrations, REST API for third-party integration, OAuth/OIDC support, compatibility with external IdP providers, system/probe health monitoring based on Prometheus and Grafana. • Infrastructure & Automation: Implement a CI/CD pipeline, including configuring repositories, build, deployment, and demo servers. Develop production deployment scripts that enable one-command installation or upgrading of the system. Create a dockerized demo deployment that includes a custom management dashboard, enabling easy configuration, deployment, and control of various system components across different versions.
