- Serving as a key IT person for books/magazines publishing & wholesale company.- Overseeing the whole IT infrastructure (distributed VPN-connected LAN in two offices, Database and Application servers, Web store, E-mail systems).- Providing senior executives with expert recommendations on related decisions, assisting with budget planning.- Preparing proof-of-concept demos and presentations for management and customers, organizing Web conferences (GoToMeeting, WebEx) with partners and remote employees. - Acting as a liaison between company management, offshore development teams and service providers.- Other duties include data mining and analysis (SQL, GREP), backup management (Win32 scripting), responses to data recovery, virus attacks, systems availability and performance related issues as arise.

- Performed Quality Check of company software in terms of possible issues caused by introduction of Russian language and cases specific to Russian IT environment.- Conducted case-related research to narrow the scope, identify the root cause or simplify the reproduction of issues. Found and reported more than 200 functional, translation and visual defects, and more than 10 issues in original English product which was considered fully tested and approved for other languages implementation. - Provided full technical and lingual review of translated product documentation and online help (more than 500 pages) for Russian language. Found and reported more than 100 issues, also found around 10 technical issues in original English documentation which was considered fully reviewed and approved for release.
