As Finance Business Partner I am the first point of contact between the finance team of our global transaction center in Germany and 6 legal entities in Eastern European region with a total annual turnover of more than 200m EUR.

This role evolved from the previous role of Process Manager with additional scope of driving process improvement projects and managing cross-functional teams by defining problem scope, designing solutions and implementing improvements in selected business areas, such as Finance, HR and Controlling.

As team of internal process consultants we were responsible for post-transition process management in the company's global transaction center. My main responsibilities included documentation and improvement of IT and HR processes, as well as company-wide implementation of our global process management tool Signavio.

As BPI project manager I lead company internal improvement projects by following the DMAIC methodology following my Six Sigma Black Belt certification. My primary objective was to minimize costs and to make local entities more profitable. Improvement projects ranged from Operations, Quality and IT to HR and Finance. Average annual savings for the company exceeded 1m EUR per year. The most challenging part was to track the outcome of each project to make sure the delivered changes were in line with plan and budget.

As Junior Project Manager I supported our senior project manager and PMO in several launch projects for our international customers in EMEA region (Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Ireland). My responsibilities included: documentation of operational processes, planning and budgeting of CAPEX and operational costs, negotiating with local suppliers, local staff recruiting, first point of contact for local authorities for reporting and licensing, support of H&S certification. Good team spirit and extensive travel contributed to my personal growth and professional development.

As a group of 3 graduates with international backgrounds we were working in the Global IT department during the company's acquisition/transition period. Our main responsibilities included, among others, maintaining the lists of software used in each region/country, identifying obsolete software and financial impact of standardization and optimization efforts.

After graduating with my Bachelor's degree I spent one year working in an international financial services company in Moscow, Russia. This job covered various responsibilities ranging from invoice processing and weekly reporting through to financial planning and modeling. I was also the first point of contact for our international customers supporting them with financial topics and chanelling their requests.
