Illiquid (non-cash equivalent) assets may be acceptable if an accurate appraised value can be ascertained. For strong projects that are lacking sufficient equity, BWC is able to provide or arrange equity as well as Financial Engineering.Government Guarantees (Preferred)Government guarantees may be issued by national, regional, or local governments. The strength of the guarantee will be determined by credit-worthiness of guarantor. The guarantee may fully or partially cover the loan, or cover some other aspect of the project such as off-take agreements, supply agreements, or land concessions.Financial Guarantee (Preferred)Bank guarantees are preferred. Local bank guarantees from emerging markets banks may be acceptable. Corporate guarantees from credit-worthy companies may be acceptable. Guarantees may cover all or some aspects of the financing.
