I began my studies in different architecture schools, which allowed me to assimilate different academic cultures and proven methodologies that have contributed to a plural vision of the discipline.Furthermore, I worked with different well-known architects in Colombia, starting several years ago with Fernando Montenegro, later in a close relationship with Sergio Trujillo and Eduardo Samper, from the development of competitions, to architectural and urban projects of different scales which allowed myself to build up a close contact with consolidated traditions of Colombian professional practice.In contrast, I worked as construction supervisor in a rural context for three years that gave me a strong knowledge of the constructive, political and social realities of traditional architecture in Colombia. My professional interests go hand in hand with deep reflexions about both the urban and the rural site that the craft consolidates through contemporary architecture.Reconnecting with urban life, in 2018 I joined Taller Architects team, an acknowledge firm based in the Colombian capital, as team leader and technical design coordinator. In 2021, I started my own architectural practice with the design of a family country side house in the Bogota area.At the end of 2021 my wife and I moved to Berlin. The objective of this new phase is to bring together Colombian experiences about design and construction processes with German contemporary architecture.
