With an MD from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a PhD in Neural and Behavioral Science from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, I possess a strong academic foundation in understanding the complexities of the brain and behavior.Throughout my career, I have been committed to advancing patient care and furthering knowledge in the field. My research has focused on the mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer's Disease. I have contributed to scientific publications, sharing insights that enhance our understanding of neurological conditions.I have completed a comprehensive Neurology residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center, where I honed my clinical skills in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, and traumatic brain injuries. Recognized for my abilities, I was appointed as the Neurology Chief Resident, guiding and collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver exceptional care.Currently, I am pursuing a Neurocritical Care Fellowship at the University of Rochester, further expanding my expertise in managing critically ill patients with neurological conditions.
