1 year assignment focused on contribution margin improvement by learning from Income Statement deep dive, challenging all functional teams and pulling ahead business plan in 2 years. The expected results were achieved and the main enabler was the environment of trust created towards a single objective.

I have had the opportunity to lead 3 Global Major Programs (Novo Ka for South American market, Ka+ for European market and Ecosport Freshening for South American market) and also several minor programs, acting as CPE (Chief Program Engineer) and/or PD Launch Manager. +300 people were involved on each of these major programs when I had the opportunity to lead, not only cross-functional teams (PD, Purchasing, Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Marketing, HR) , but also multi-cultural teams with team players located in Brazil, India, Germany and US.The main activities performed during this period was: Vehicle Prototype build in Germany, Vehicle Sign-Off (US, Brazil and Europe) and Launch (Brazil and India).

In 2010, I was promoted as Product Development Material Cost Manager, responsible by +25 people directly and +150 indirectly, including Engineers, Buyers and Cost Estimators. During this period, I have led material cost saving ideas generation, progress consolidation and implementation to all vehicles produced by Ford in South America.Also, I was responsible by the Teardown & Benchmarking Center, located at Ford Camaçari Plant, and represented Ford South America in front of Ford Global Material Cost team.

In 2006, I was promoted as Purchasing Executive, leading a team of 6 people and responsible by commercial material cost saving identification and implementation. As additional contribution, I was responsible by Program Purchasing activities (Purchase Order Placement, Tooling Order Placement, Support Plan Approval, others) in support of product development activities, small local programs execution and plant capacity studies.In July 2009, I was rotated to Production Purchasing, acting as Body Exterior Purchasing Manager and leading a team of 8 buyers located in Brazil and Argentina. I was responsible by commodities such as: Bumpers, Lighting, Claddings, Weatherstrips and others. The main activities developed during this period were: market test execution, negotiation with suppliers, business case compilation and sourcing definition.

I was hired as Engineer with the responsibility to identify and implement material cost saving ideas by applying methodologies, such as: Vehicle Teardown, Competitors Benchmarking, Supplier Design Reviews, Value Analysis, Value Stream Mapping and others. During this period, I had the opportunity to lead small cross-functional teams interface (Purchasing, Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics and Suppliers) by the first time on my career and which was a great learning that I am using up to now. In 2005, I was relocated to Ford South America PD Center, located in Camaçari, with the assignment to stablish a robust implementation process, for material cost saving and quality ideas, avoiding unintended issues at Assembly Plant.

Trelleborg PAV was a supplier of Truck's OEMs such as Scania, Volvo and Mercedes Benz, with the following portfolio: Powertrain Mounts, Cabin Mounts, Insulators, Gaskets and O-Rings. I was hired as Product Engineer in 1999, responsible by rubber & metal-rubber parts development, tooling project & execution, bench tests, PAPP approval and Tier 2 development.At that time, I have had the opportunity to work with CATIA.
