As an experienced sterile processing technician, I am able to provide excellent service to client facilities. My service capabilities/functions include, but are not limited to:- Using best and standard practices when performing sterile processing duties (i.e., decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instrument sets).- Optimizing work flows.- Utilizing foresight to act on time-sensitive matters (i.e., anticipating physicians' needs, effectively mitigating unforeseen circumstances that occur within an OR, etc.)- Establishing and maintaining a cohesive work environment with fellow sterile processing technicians.- Process and fulfill orders/requests from OR personnel; relay any relevant communication to my department.- Serve as a preceptor to junior or less-experienced technicians; by the same token, that includes receiving positive and accepting constructive feedback from senior or more-experienced technicians.- Demonstrate competency and proficiency as an experienced technician.

- Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentation.- Perform daily testing of dynamic steam and low temperature (H₂O₂) sterilizers, as well as as ultrasonic cleansers and washer/disinfectors.- Conduct regular biological monitoring.- Coordinate instrument needs with operating room staff.- Maintain par levels and submit order requisitions; order and restock consumable inventory on a weekly basis, as needed.- Perform bi-annual inventory checks.- Maintain sterilization records as well as other pertinent records per department protocol.- Establish and maintain vendor relationships.- Use discretion and market research skills when making potential departmental purchases.- Perform other related duties as directed.
