Colombia Risk Analysis is a start-up political risk consultancy. We provide our clients with insight, analysis, context, and projections about the political, economic and social environment in Colombia and the region. Through monthly newsletters, detailed consulting and articles of interest, Colombia Risk Analysis adds value to its customers in the public and private sectors. We also offer more detailed and bespoke work for private companies where we can assist them with business intelligence and market entry solutions, threat and risk assessments, and stakeholder mapping products - which are tailor-made to the client's requirements. Other lines of work include freelance political analysis and bespoke consultancy. We work with different publications to provide political risk insight on different events and how they shape the business environment generally.

Taught an MBA Course on Political Risk Analysis for the Private Sector The course aims to provide students with a solid foundation in the theory and practice of political risk applied to the business sector. Based on a conceptual framework to analyze these operations, we will explore the experience of some recent and ongoing cases, understand the complexity and variety of political risk situations that a company may face in an emerging country and strategies to analyze, and mitigate those risks.

Lead the integration of the thematic agenda of the Center for Financial Inclusion, with offices in Boston and Washington in the Office of Bogotá. Conducted a research project on the Status of Consumer Protection for Financial Services in different countries which is at the core of the Center for Financial Inclusion’s mission: to serve as a resource to advance the industry forwards with a double bottom line. Trained internal and external staff on the six principles of client protection in microfinance. Worked on the design of the implementation of one of the Center's flagship projects, Beyond Codes, which seeks to bring protection codes from paper to practice guided by assessment in the institutions.Lead the development and production of a research project about the state of consumer protection in financial services in several countries, which is central to the purpose of the institution: to be a resource for advancing the industry with a dual purpose of social solvency and financial.Collaborated constantly in the official blog of the Center for Financial Inclusion.

Researched for IPS fellow Sanho Tree, head of the Drug Policy ProjectWorked to raise awareness and amend the current drug policy to ameliorate its negative social and environmental effects.Responsible for finding relevant examples from the Colombian and Afghan cases to argue a need to modify the US policy addressing the concerns of those most affected by the war on drugs.
