As a graduating History major and double minor in Spanish and Religion from Southern Adventist University, I have a strong interest in pursuing an education career. With experience working at the elementary and secondary levels, in and out of the classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer. My classroom teaching experience ranges from supervising Lester Coon Adventist Academy’s PK-2 Forest (Outdoor) School Program to co-teaching high school-level History and Government classes at Collegedale Academy. In addition, I have worked closely to a number of teachers as an aide for Collegedale Adventist Middle School. Throughout my years as an undergrad student I have sharpened my literate and time management skills through courses, extracurricular activities such as VP of the History Club, writing for the Ed/Psyc Department’s magazine, and executing SOAR Initiative programs. My commitment and interest for the training of young minds allowed me to be elected by Southern Adventist’s Education Department to send me to Chicago, IL, for an annual teacher’s convention. I also have three years of Day and Summer Camp experience serving as Special needs advocate, counselor, drama director, and Assistant Programming Director. I have been a missionary for the majority of my life due to my parents’ careers. This lifestyle has taught me to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure in addition to the vast amount of knowledge and experiences I have received. I consider myself to be an organized and loyal worker who will go above and beyond for a righteous cause.
