• Conduct and direct the investigation of new claims to determine compensability
• Administer benefits in accordance with the law and ensure claims are managed in accordance with all legal requirements including the issuance of appropriate notices and filings
• Develop a plan of action for the successful, and prompt resolution of each claim
• Utilize skills such as persuasive communication, and negotiation to ensure resolution of claims is achieved at the earliest opportunity

• Conduct classroom presentations on college admission requirements
• Manage a caseload of student files, and regularly update them to ensure the information is current and accurate
• Meet regularly with small groups of college-bound students to discuss academic progress, testing requirements, college application process, and scholarships and loans
• Audit student transcripts for high school graduation
• Provide one-on-one advising on course selection, grades, college, and career options
• Assist in organizing and coordinating student assemblies featuring motivational speakers and university representatives
