Responsible for driving the implementation of the ERP and other back office systems worldwide to support the Finance and Accounting business processes, ensure alignment on priorities between the Finance/Accounting org and our core business areas including Sales, Operations, and Product Development teams to review and understand business needs and recommend process improvement to address these needs, acting as a liaison between the Back Office, Business and Technology teams.Manage the design, development, testing, and deployment of systems to ensure accurate Finance data structure, flows and controls.Act as the main administrator/owner of the ERP plus all back office applications and any technology related necessities for the Finance/Accounting Org including roadmaps/changes based on forecasting.Critically evaluate the business needs for system enhancements and effectively manage the prioritization and approval of proposed projects considering the overall impact on the business .

Manage, administer, and support Groupon’s global ERP (NetSuite) and other systems used by 300+ global accounting and finance users, manage the systems that are the source of all accounting data, reconcile and automate all daily accounting transactions into the GL within NetSuite confirming the completeness and accuracy of the data for GL, determine impact and requirements on Accounting and Finance, and specifically the aforementioned systems, when external product teams are introducing new features and/or products on to the site, work as first line of support for Finance and Accounting to resolve reported system and reconciliation problems, support accounting teams during their month-end financial close activities, assist Data Warehousing team to investigate discrepancies and replication issues, create ad-hoc reports to assist users in financial analysis, answering merchant payment questions or to support pending/potential litigation, design and queries, procedures and functions in Teradata and MySQL databases to build financial and accounting reports, perform system analysis and development for necessary customizations in the middle office and financial systems applications utilizing JavaScript and .Net, estimate and design projects utilizing accounting, finance, and tax knowledge to translate requirements to SOX compliant solutions, administer, implement new modules, new functionalities and integrations in the ERP System.

Main responsibilities where to support the teams across Latam on their daily activities (month-end close, payments, tax and accounting obligations and integrations), from a local view keep the system aligned with global standards, manage the localization process and implementations for each country in LATAM, assuring that business operations are in compliance with local rules on all countries.Map, analyze, create and implement facilitators/scripts/reports to improve LATAM processes, analyze the impact, adjust and implement global directions or rules applied to the system and monitor the processes until all teams in all countries are adapted and using it properly and also the other way around, ensuring that LATAM implementations do not impact other regions. Manage teams abroad (third parties or not) in each country to assure that projects are moving according to the expectation, report weekly to the US managers/directors the status of the region.

As the ERP system coordinator in Brasil I was in charge of a complete servers/system structure rebuild and organization, from access to segregation of environments and processes evaluation in a code level, as a result, we made the system Sox compliance.Being part of the global team responsible for the Financial Systems I participated on the replacement of the local system by the global ERP, where my responsibility was maintain the new system and implement improvements to make the administrative processes easier according to the global directives, adapting when necessary to keep the compliance with each country tax and accounting rules increasing the security/control and also supported the business across Latam.

Participated in the team that developed the system of FNDE / Fundef (National Fund for Education Development) for the Ministry of Education. The system were created to distribute resources that should be allocated to education among all municipalities in the country and Developed the Paulista Economic Activity and Regional Economic Activity systems to the Sao Paulo State Government, the system withhold data from both surveys and transform it into indicators and financial data based on MS-SQL, .NET and JavaScript technologies.
