The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is a multilateral development bank and the largest source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean. As a program development and implementation consultant, my main responsibilities lie in providing specialized technical support to IDB's "Innovation in Citizen Services Division" (ICS) in the structuring and management of some of the division's flagship projects associated with its financial (credit lines, grants, and loans) and non-financial (technical assistance, technical advice, and knowledge generation) programs. More specifically, I am mostly focused on knowledge-based and evidence-informed innovation projects targeted at promoting results-oriented models of public governance and management.

Macroplan is one of the most well-established Brazilian strategy and management consulting firms. As a senior consultant, my main responsibilities were related to coordinating consulting projects with third- sector, social impact driven, and public-sector organizations in the fields of scenario-based strategic planning, management by results (MBR), evidence-based policymaking (EBP), results-based budgeting (RBB), policy monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), and community-based / local economic development (LED). As such, I worked in close collaboration with client executives and senior personnel while also woking to ensure the quality of these projects in terms of scope, cost, time, and contract compliance. Lastly, I also I worked on generating and securing new business opportunities by managing and developing contract proposals in both national and international bidding processes (UNDP, IDB, World Bank, CAF, and others).

As a consultant and project manager, my main responsibilities were related to coordinating consulting projects with social and public-sector organizations in the fields related to strategic planning and management. In this capacity, it was my responsibility to ensure the quality of these projects in terms of scope, cost, and time. I managed a team of specialists, consultants, contractors, trainees, and interns, while also supporting business development and contributing to the development of proposals and/or bids for public auctions.

During the completion of my Master's degree, I took a partial leave from my position as a full-time consultant and worked as a contractor / external consultant for Macroplan, assisting the company's public & social sector team in the development and implementation of strategic planning and evidence-based policymaking projects, as well as with the preparation and submission of technical and financial proposals and grant applications for both national (governments in municipal, state, and national levels) and international (UNDP, IDB, World Bank, CAF, and others) solicitations.

As a junior consultant, my responsibilities were related to supporting company's projects by providing analysis of the external and internal environments in which the customers were situated; as well as to develop strategies that could enable them to both deal with the main environmental challenges and to achieve their short-, medium-, and long-term objectives.

As a trainee my main responsibilities were related to conducting analysis and gathering data and intelligence to assist the development of company's projects, while also assisting senior members of the team in the preparation of presentations to company's clients.

Okura Andina is a Brazilian foreign trade advisory company that acts as the representative of DKSH's Performance Materials Business Unit in the Brazilian market. As a global sourcing assistant, my main responsibilities were related to providing market analysis on food, personal care, and pharmaceutical industries and to developing new business opportunities. I also had direct participation in negotiation processes with the company’s suppliers and customers for the definition of sales conditions, international commercial terms (“incoterms”), and pricing.

BRICS Policy Center (BPC) is a Brazilian think-tank dedicated to the study of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa). The center produces evidence-based research in the form of articles, policy briefs, policy monitors, books, and indicators. As a research assistant for the Economics and Politics Research Group, my main responsibilities were related to collecting data and assessing political and economic developments that took place in each of the BRICS countries, as well as common social, political, and economic trends. I also provided research support for the senior members of the team, which included primary and secondary source information/data-gathering, as well as analysis of socioeconomic indicators. Given my performance, I was also granted the opportunity to co-author three of the briefing papers the center published during that period.
