Our super app DRAKE 🐲 is broadening its horizons, and with that, I've embraced the challenge of taking our INFORMATION SECURITY project to new heights. 🚀 I'm leading the charge to ensure full COMPLIANCE with the ISO/IEC 27001 standard and DATA PROTECTION guidelines from LGPD and GDPR. Bulletproof and fail-safe! 🛡️💼 We're on the right track for achieving the INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION of ISO/IEC 27001. 🏆🔐I'm also spearheading the transformation of the IT DEPARTMENT, implementing an IT service management system (ITSM). The goal is to empower the team to become ninjas in configuring and maintaining our equipment and infrastructure, taking into account information security requirements. 💻🌐

I embraced the challenge of establishing a video course department at the company, illuminating our software tutorials, with a spotlight on DRAKE. 🌟 I produced three courses - one is a free treat available on YouTube, just search for "Sapiensia DRAKE," and two more are exclusive Udemy finds, searchable in the same way. 🕵️‍♂️Later, I ventured into the realm of artificial intelligence, crafting courses with AI-generated avatars and voices, adding an innovative flair to each lesson. 🤖🎧 We now have the potential to produce courses in various languages, kicking off with English.Keep in mind that the process here involved not just recording but the entire course production process: from scriptwriting 📝, software usage recording 💻, filming 🎥, lighting 💡, to editing (with DAVINCI RESOLVE) 🎬, artwork preparation (with INKSCAPE and GIMP) 🎨, uploading to YouTube/Vimeo/Udemy 🚀, and promotion with GOOGLE ADSENSE 📊.

Took the lead with a twist: aiming to cut down the marathon of manual tests 🏃‍♂️ and going all-in on AUTOMATED TESTING. 🤖 Kicked off this adventure with Ghost Inspector, backed by the mighty SELENIUM under the hood.Got the chance to boost the team 🚀 by teaching the art of automated testing with CSS SELECTORS and XPATH. Facing a universe of 200 screens, we leaped from zero to an impressive 23% coverage in just 8 months. 📈And we didn’t stop there: we gave a facelift to our TEST PLANS with AZURE DEVOPS, raising the team's technical bar. 🛠️Our mission? Promoted to Senior, I joined the company's elite fire-fighting squad! 🔥💻 With one foot in dev and the other trekking through the lands of Operations and DevOps, the journey was filled with adventures and innovations:- Wielding the art of POWERSHELL, I penned scripts to clone VIRTUAL MACHINES in AZURE. 🧙‍♂️🖥️- Became part of the team responsible for the DEPLOYMENT of the company's systems. 🦸 Among the daily tools were TEAMCITY and OCTOPUS.- Flipping the script on the pandemic, I deployed VPNs in AZURE 🔒, both Point-to-Point and Point-to-Site, allowing the team to excel from any corner of the globe. 🌐 Oh! I used the OPENVPN protocol and enabled machine authorization with CERTIFICATE AUTHENTICATION.- Turned into an ElasticSearch ninja, and with a clinical eye, I analyzed clusters to slash costs without losing our performance – mission accomplished and 54% savings in the pocket! 💸📊

Oops, the entrepreneurship saga will have to wait a bit longer. 🚀 Back to base, thanks to José Félix, our CEO, for welcoming me back into the crew as a Full Developer. 🙌In this new journey, besides focusing on coding with the team, I pulled off two solo moves:I launched a CLI app in C# .NET CORE that works like magic for the team, saving time to this day. 🎩✨ This treasure is private, but it has a twin brother on GitHub (hop over to GitHub.com/sergiocabral/Cabrones.Cli).DRAKE, our seasoned system, accumulated over the years various frontend apps with independent translation files. 🌐 Plus there was also the backend translation. 🔧 I tinkered with its guts to unify all translation JSONs and create a single API in C# ASP.NET serving all parts of the system. And to top it off, I wrote a translation tool, which I could integrate with the CLI explained earlier, to automatically translate and adjust the code. Guess what? DRAKE is now a polyglot. CIEmSUB Reborn as CIEm: 🆕 With a substantial investment from Petrobras' Submarine Management, the app not only got a new name but also a host of improvements. Version 2 🔄 arrived with bug fixes, a revamped visual identity, and, of course, the well-known efficiency in the logistics of offshore vessels. Continuing the journey with Qt C++, this app truly took the spotlight on the occasion. 🌟

After a decade at Spassu and the end of my contract with Petrobras, it was time to set sail for new horizons. 🛳️ I stayed within PETROBRAS but under a different contract. I was recruited for a challenge that was unfamiliar territory for me: the Qt C++ language. I'll admit, at first I couldn't tell Qt from afternoon tea. ☕️ But once I committed, I dove into an intense learning journey. I not only learned the language but also gained the autonomy to steer the system's helm. And thus, the stars of C++ in my resume shone brighter than ever. 🌟💻CIEmSUB: 🛳️ LARGE SCALE. Picture an Uber for boats, long before Uber was a thing in Brazil. That's what we developed for managing the naval logistics of the submarine unit. I went from being a passenger to driving this system in C++ with the Qt framework.

I've moved up to Senior, but the game stays the same... 🙃SPCO (Operational Cost Projection System): 💸 MEDIUM SIZE. Here, I untangled code that was more knotted than earphones left in your pocket. I unraveled every circular reference to create a desktop app in C# .NET that projects costs like an oracle.SIDES (Integrated Submarine Equipment Data System): 🌊 MEDIUM SIZE. In the dev team, we managed the submarine equipment, taking care of our metallic "patients" with surgical precision. Also operated with C# ASP.NET.STP: 👥 SMALL SIZE. Like a ninja in the old dojo of Classic ASP, I was the resolver of the most enigmatic bugs of this legacy Social Responsibility system.PSVWEB: 🚀 MEDIUM SIZE. I was the lone maestro orchestrating the PSV valve control system. A symphony in C# ASP.NET that I tuned to keep the pressure under control and safety at its peak.

I advanced to Mid-Level and things continued as usual, where I could take on entire systems 🦸 or be part of dedicated development teams. ⛹️‍♀️⛹️‍♂️⛹️CIDR (Rigid Ducts Control and Inspection): 🛢️ SMALL SCALE. Goal: Fine-tune the planning and execution of inspections. The focus was on preventing leaks and extending the durability of the installations. The arsenal? C# ASP.NET, to ensure a robust solution.SICAL: 🔍 MEDIUM SCALE. A system that's practically a substance detective, tracking the health of lubricants with Sherlock-like precision. Redone in C# ASP.NET, using YAHOO YUI as a layout compass. How about that trip down memory lane?Drink Water: 💧 SMALL SCALE. A simple yet vital idea: a hydration alarm. Quick and agile, developed in Delphi in just one day, and it even played the most aquatic soundtrack you can imagine.PCTERCON (PC as Consultation Terminal): 🖥️ SMALL SCALE. The PETROBRAS totems became my chess pieces, moving information in a C# .NET app with ASP.NET management. Game started and won from scratch.

As I mentioned before, I joined the Petrobras development team because of the SetPass app I was able to create 'from scratch'. But now things were different: 🔧 maintaining existing systems.The spirit of the young is complicated! 🫨 I tackled my first project, BAIC (Bulletin for the Evaluation of Contractual Instruments). The task was simple: adjust some screens. But I redesigned the entire system. Result? Everyone happy? NO! I learned that in large corporations, drastic changes can be problematic, mainly due to the additional training cost. Despite the shock, the new interface was adopted, but not without first receiving a good talking-to from Adriana Guia! 😅 It was a valuable lesson for my professional growth. 🌱🛠️ Thanks, Adriana. 🫶Here the work was with JAVASCRIPT for INTERNET EXPLORER (No one knew FIREFOX). In the backend, it was CLASSIC ASP. There was no such thing as FRONTEND and BACKEND... one person did everything: the current FULLSTACK. 🦸The systems in this period where I was the responsible developer:- BAIC (Bulletin for the Evaluation of Contractual Instruments): SMALL SIZE. The goal was to manage evaluations of contracted companies, recording their 'grades' on the service provided to Petrobras.- SAPES (Product and Service Acquisition System): LARGE SIZE. It enabled a unified environment to register purchase orders and service contracting as well as a structure for the proper operational and managerial follow-up.- VIDAS (Daily Valuation and Incentive for Safe Activities): MEDIUM SIZE. Responsible for managing Incidents, SMS Deviations (Safety, Environment, and Health), Behavioral Auditing, Work Permit, DDSMS (Daily Safety, Environment, and Health Dialogue), SMS Inspection, and SMS Meeting.

Spassu launched a selection process for the USER SUPPORT team at Petrobras. I joined and passed. Later, I found out I was ranked first (tied with Davi Godoy). 🏅Initially placed in the Help Desk, I quickly began creating utility apps that made the team's work easier. 💻🛠️ The game-changer was when I was given the opportunity to build from scratch the SETPASS, an app for managing local admin passwords for Petrobras computers across Brazil. 🔐🇧🇷 Developed with VISUAL BASIC 6, the success of SETPASS led me to join the Petrobras development team.I also developed the "Apoio Digital" in VISUAL BASIC 6, allowing remote control of computers without the need for command-line input. 🖱️✨ Made with DELPHI, the "QAnúncio" was a messaging app for announcing system availability, improving communication between Help Desk shifts. 📢While I was contractually with Spassu, in practice, I worked for Petrobras, donning the infamous yellow contractor badge. 🏷️🛠️

As I recall, my first official paycheck was for R$ 800! 💼💸My career began at a company specializing in industrial electronics maintenance, tasked with creating a system compliant with ISO/IEC 9001 standards and the stringent requirements of PETROBRAS. 🛠️📊Stationed at Atel, Petrobras' electronics lab, I plunged into developing an app to manage SOTs – service requests for both onshore and offshore equipment maintenance. A project that marked my entry into the corporate world. 🖥️🚀I started out programming in DELPHI with a FIREBIRD database 🐦🔥, but the project's ever-changing nature and constant change requests led me to switch to the more flexible MICROSOFT ACCESS with VBSCRIPT ✍️📊.I also got the chance to create and launch the company's website using BLOGSPOT - who remembers that? 🌐✨

As a computer lab monitor, I dove into network maintenance, user management, and support. It was my first HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE beyond my own computer and home. 💻🔧Additionally, I applied my skills in PASCAL and DELPHI to create utilities for the school, including a numeric base converter and a super calculator with dynamic graphs and the ability to handle complex expressions.
