Responsibilities:• Financial Reporting under IAS - IFRS Standards, on monthly & quarterly basis.• Cash flow, Working Capital, Cost and Margin analysis & forecasts. KPI’s definition & analysis by business line• Annual Budget draw up & control. Oversee actual performance against budget. Identify major variances and take action to correct them.• Deal with external auditors.• Annual Statutory Financial Statements closure under local GAAP – Presentation to the accounts to the annual Board of Directors.• Tax compliance & management. Manage VAT tax risk, excise duties, direct and indirect taxes. Ensure regulatory compliance by keeping up to date all internal procedures according to the laws in force.• Deal with Tax Authorities as Repsol’s representative in front of the Tax & Customs Agency.• Key member on local M&A operations for the service stations business line.• Finance & Treasury management. Ensure availability of financial resources to carry on operations. Implement best practices on cash management (AR&AP), by introducing new payment systems and cash collections for the Service Stations network.• Internal control accountability Main achievements:• Reorganization of the local finance & administrative team boosting productivity and increasing the internal client’s satisfaction. Hire 3 new team members and stablish the finance division with direct report to the headquarters.• Ensure the reliability of the financial reporting, by a deep analysis of all the local processes and accounts, unveiling hidden managerial problems not reported before to the Corporation (15 million € in negative adjustments in the last two years)• Implementation of the Corporate Internal Control Model (former SOX controls) adapted to the local operations. More than 50 controls effectively implemented in a 1 year project.• On time SAP Implementation (FI-SD-MM-COPA-PS) – 2-year project. Leader for Corporate areas.

Responsibilities:• Cash management: Transactional banking, Payment settlements, FOREX and Trade Finance.• Banking relationship: manage regional contracts with mayor banking groups, as: Unicredit, Citibank, INTESA SanPaolo, BBVA and BNP Paribas.• Ensure all the resources needed by the business line are available to carry out the planned operations: credit & guarantee lines negotiation, Factoring (both direct and indirect). Lease and Lease back for equipment purchases.• Cash flow forecasting and analysis.• Trade Credit Insurance management: Managed risk limits of the customer base for the various business lines• Conduct monthly risk committee.• Control of the overdue debt levels and bad debt provisions. Main achievements:• Successfully renegotiated bank conditions achieving a savings in the last two years of more than 30% in transactional costs (>120k€). • On-time and successful migration to Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) standards. More than 500M€ in AR and 2.500 customers.• Redefinition of the local treasury policy increasing efficiency (reduce banking relationships, terminate onerous contracts, optimize bank account structure)• Reduce overdue debt levels by 20% collaborating with the commercial area.
