Building strong skills and an understanding of the local industry, I have overseen the delivery of complex projects from concept & DA to tender documentation and construction. Full coordinating or as part of a team, I have achieved excellent design outcomes for the projects I have been involved in. I have built strong skills in client engagement, design, and local regulations accordingly. As an active member of the design team, I have also been involved in sustainability actions implemented in the WMK design culture.

Remote Work From Sydney

My work in this firm included everything from concept design to construction documentation. The projects I was leading with the design director were high-end hospitality projects located in California (USA) and Spain. Coordination with consultants, liaison with clients, and managing the program and budget, were also included as part of my tasks.

Chile

I started as a volunteer in June 2014 with Techo-Guatemala NGO working on emergency housing projects for vulnerable communities. After this, I became an Architect at Techo-Chile NGO where I lead up to four social multi-residential projects with a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and lawyers. All these projects reached successful outcomes, from DA approvals, and Social Housing government bodies.

Guatemala

Whilst working for Techo-Guatemala’s Non-profit Organisation my role consisted of designing and building on site infrastructure and emergency housing projects for the communities living in the city slums.

My job as a teaching assistant consisted of reviewing student work and giving lessons on structural design for buildings where anti-seismic measures must be taken into consideration. This was a rewarding experience as I enjoyed teaching others.

In the early stage of my career, I founded Groba Design with one of my colleages experimenting in furniture design at a 1:1 scale. We brought our architectural knowdledge and apply it to the construction & design of a line of timber products.
