I managed and led a mobile department composed of 3 multidisciplinary engineering teams, of Android, iOS and QAs, from Portugal and Egypt. Collaborating with stakeholders, product team and cross-functional teams.The department was made up of 26 people and the roadmap teams were feature oriented organised to be scaling agile (following the Spotify Model).I was responsible for defining and continuous adjusting mobile processes (always taking into account 360 feedback): such as recruitment, onboarding, ways of working, quality, deliveries, innovation and releases. In terms of people management, I had 121s with my leads, skip-levels with the developers. Career plans and KPIs were also defined, based on OKRs.In terms of ways of working, was based on the feature branding model and in terms of quality, on native automation with a focus on modularisation.

It was the beginning of my leadership journey at Jumia, collaborating with stakeholders, product team and cross-functional teams.I managed and led a dynamic mobile engineering team (2 Android, 2 iOS and QA), in developing, designing, and launching new features, the Jumia Online Shopping apps.It was the beginning of my leadership journey at Jumia, where I also started to be responsible for defining other topics in the mobile department in addition to team management and roadmap delivery, such as recruitment, onboarding, ways of working, quality, deliveries, innovation and rollouts.
