Working as a CAMO engineer for a fleet of helicopters formed by H135, H145 (BK117), AS350 and AS355 (Ecureuil), the main duties carried out are listed below:- Amend the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) to ensure the changes in technical documentation (MSM, ALS, AMM, EMM), regulations (SB, AD), minor/major modifications to the fleet, etc. are captured.- Develop and launch Work Orders to assess all maintenance tasks to be performed as per the maintenance plan, operational needs or other unscheduled reasons.- Check, review and process all maintenance documentation to ensure the work has been carried out correctly and in a timely manner and to maintain the helicopter technical documentation and records up to date.- Provide support to the mechanics for all issues encountered during the maintenance.

Based in Ireland and working in the Engineering department as a Technical Standards Engineer, my main duties are the following:- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure standardisation and compliance with regulations. Examine all factors involved to confirm that standards will result in most economic use of material and labour consistent with safety and industry best practices.- Amend/update/review the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) as required.- Provide support to the Ryanair Engineering department and ensure all non-conformities raised as audit findings by the Quality department against the Engineering department are dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner.- Maintain the highest level of Airworthiness standards through continuous improvement initiatives and base visits. This is done through identifying hazards, inefficiencies and deficiencies which once corrected should result in improved performance and safety standards.- Manage and review all Engineering Department handbooks and technical documentation to ensure they are compliant with regulations and company’s policies.- Cooperate with the Airworthiness Review Department.- Standards monitoring of the line maintenance network to assure consistency with existing standards and those in other specialized disciplines.

Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer working in Cuatro Vientos (Madrid) and providing technical engineering, maintenance and CAMO support in Maestranza Aérea de Madrid for the Spanish Air Force helicopter fleet: Puma (AS330), SuperPuma (AS332), Cougar (AS532). My main duties were as follows:- Liaise with the mechanics and provide technical assistance for all issues encountered during the maintenance.- Prepare and supervise the maintenance plan for all the maintenance checks being performed.- Check, implement and supervise maintenance tasks following new revisions of the manufacturer´s (Airbus Helicopters) recommended maintenance programme.- Review all upcoming revisions of maintenance manuals (AMM, IPC, etc) and ensure all changes were appropriately captured within the maintenance plan and all personnel were made aware of those.- Manage and review helicopter technical documentation to ensure traceability and veracity of parts installed, maintenance performed, Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SB) implemented, etc.- Check regularly Airbus Helicopters’ T.I.P.I. portal (Technical Information Publication on Internet) and review all new SBs, ASBs, EASBs for implementation within the fleet.
