I was one of the first members of a team operating the first synchrotron light source in the southern hemisphere in 1997, the UVX machine, the Sirius predecessor.I worked as an electronics technician at LNLS from 1994 to 2003 and as an electrical engineer since then. In 2006, I took up the leadership of the LNLS beam diagnostics group, which has taken over the operation of several systems over the years, including the operation of the timing system and several feedback systems, such as the bunch-by-bunch and the fast orbit feedback system. Over the years, the UVX beam stability has been significantly improved.At the LNLS diagnostics team, my main professional goal was to keep the connection to the international beam diagnostics and synchrotron instrumentation community through collaborations and state-of-the-art instrumentation projects.In 2012, the development of the Sirius project started bringing several technical challenges, including instrumentation ones. Coordinating a development team responsible for most of the beam diagnostics of the accelerators was an incredible experience that took about six years to design, manufacture, test, and install all the equipment.Since September 2020, I have been coordinating the Electronics, Instrumentation and Software area of ​​the CNPEM Engineering and Technology Division.My interests include street running, mountain biking, and road cycling. Very early in the morning during the week or on weekends it is easy to find me on the streets of Campinas city and neighborhoods.
