Sergio has been writing, designing, and illustrating professionally in South Florida for over 35 years. After leaving the US Army he enrolled and graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He started his career designing and illustrating at The Discovery Center in Fort Lauderdale – the children’s museum that morphed into the Museum of Discovery and Science. Sergio then joined the Sun-Sentinel, pioneering both print and digital projects. After that he moved to Univision, where he was part of the team that launched Univision.com, serving as Creative Director, and later Vice President, Design & Usability, of digital products. Since leaving Univision Sergio has consulted on several UXUI projects, wrote and illustrated his first children’s book, The Lonely Little Island, and continues to illustrate on personal and professional projects.
