Sergio Velasco Gigorro was born in Madrid in 1976. He is Degree in Information Science, branch of Advertising and Public Relations; postgraduated Master in Business Administration and Management, Communication, Marketing, Advertising and e-Commerce; and postgraduated Master in Management and Business Administration. He has also made multiple complementary training courses related to Communication, Advertising and Graphic Design.Currently he combines his work as Graphic Designer with Councilor in the Algete City Council (Madrid). In addition he has has held various positions in the field of Commercial Communication (press officer, communications adviser, layout-designer, web administrator...). He is Spokesman Councillor of Municipal Group Vecinos por Algete and General Secretary of the local political party Vecinos por Algete. He also collaborates with the Fundación Amigos de las Abejas. He has won several awards for his historical essays, as the 2009 Province of Guadalajara Award of Historical and Ethnographic Research granted by the Provincial Council of Guadalajara for the book "150 years of rail in Guadalajara"​, 2010 Villa de Cifuentes Award of Social Science granted by the Cifuentes City Council for the book "The narrow gauge railroad in the Alcarria"​) and the City of Alcalá Award for Historical Research 2021 granted by the Alcalá de Henares City Council for the work "The Iron Paths in Alcalá de Henares". He has also written essays about railroad history, industrial heritage and the province of Guadalajara, like "Industrial heritage of the province of Guadalajara"​, "The railway in Plasencia and Alta Extremadura"​, "125 years of rail in Los Molinos. 1888-2013"​, "The No-Do in the province of Guadalajara"​, "The Villalba-Segovia railway", "The old railway station of Portugalete", "The railway in Malagón" and "The Platanito.
