About Sergiu-Florin Munteanu

There is a time in your life when you choose your path, your career and you must be passionate, ambitious enough, confident with yourself and also prepared for what's coming. You need to work hard and smart! I choose to become a Chef, a Professional Chef and even if it's taking all of my time, I'm cool with that, I don't mind. I am from Romania, after 3 years at a Cookery School in my home city, I started working as a Chef straight away since 2008, I've never stopped working. In this time I worked in 3 Hotels in and outside of the town, bistros, restaurants and pubs. I progressed step by step and when I left from my country, I left as a Sous Chef. Also I was gonna go to a competition in a cooking show, something similar to Master Chef. But in that period of time my brother bought me a flight ticket to London for a couple of weeks. Before my holiday ends, I decided to stay more time, find something to work, which was a bit hard because I couldn't speak English, only a few words but far from making a conversation or going to an interview. I started all over again, I started working as a Kitchen Porter and in the meantime, I was learning the language, so I could get a role in the kitchen, which I did, after 2 months I started as a Kitchen Assistant and a month later I get to work as a Commis Chef, so from there was becoming all much more easier to do my job, travelling and everything.
