About Serhat Cakir
Prof. Dr. Serhat Cakir is lecturing in the Department of Technology and Knowledge Management, Başkent University, Middle East Technical University, Turkish Military Academy, Ankara Social Sciences University and Gazi University with research experience in technology and innovation management and policies. He obtained his PhD degree at Extraterrestrial Physics Max-Planck Institute, Garching, München, Germany.He was the former Director of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Department of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) (2004-2011). He delegated Turkey in OECD – CSTP (Committee of Science Technology Policy), OECD – NESTI (National Experts of Science and Technology Indicators), GSF (Global Science Form).He interested in interdisciplinary methods in basic sciences. He supervised over 32 PhD thesis and 30 MS thesis on physics, science, technology and innovation management and policies.
