Freshly graduated with a bachelor's of sociology, there are many things that I have learned through my academic career that I am eager to apply in my working career. For instance, I believe in using an approach that fosters equity and understanding. I studied in areas that focused on gender, socio-economic status, sexuality and social issues that affect our communities today. I also have experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as content/ and data analyses, surveys and case studies. In my recent research on reproductive justice, many women experience inadequate reproductive care because of intersectional experiences such as race, gender and age. I think it is important to acknowledge how many life experiences can be affected by discrimination and unjust practices.My motivation in my career is to bring new ideas to the table that assist in creating a space of inclusion and growth.
