We operate on the evidence that direct engagement and participation with newcomers transforms both the welcomer and those being welcomed. We began with our new Afghan neighbors and have expanded to those fleeing Ukraine, while also building a durable capacity and ability to welcome other newcomers.

The goal of the Haven Retreat is to provide education, experience, and community to sexual abuse victims. The four-day retreat focuses on activities that provide acceptance, education, and community support to increase the likelihood of long-term healing. The first Haven Retreat started in June 2015 with 11 women who walked away with skills, tools, and the feeling of empowerment to reclaim hope.
