Project 1: The major focus of this research is to explore the nuclear receptor role in animalplasticity in response to environmental stressors and endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) by creating nuclear receptor activity reporter lines.I am particularly interested in the mechanisms that underpin crosstalk between nuclear receptors when there are interacting stressors and EDCs.Project 2: The study aims to create a zebrafish model for SETBP1-related Schinzel-Giedionsyndrome (SHD). I used CRISPR-Cas9 to generate two types of mutants mirroring SHD-associatedgenetic changes. Then, I tracked muscle development and behavior in these mutantsto understand their impact on SHD-like symptoms.-My main roles included conducting research, mentoring students, maintaining laborganization and equipment, managing supplies and data, ensuring lab safety, andcontributing to research publications and grant proposals. This project aims to determine some important molecular cues involved in hematopoietic stem cell development and differentiation in zebrafish embryos. By using a mutant zebrafish line, I characterized a gene that causes the hematopoietic deficiency in the embryo by using important molecular and cell biology techniques.

This research is an intense study covering genetic, molecular/cellular mechanisms underlying neurological disorders and current treatments being employed in the clinical setting based on basic neuroscience research. It includes journal discussions about research and preparation to design experiments and write a report about it. I have designed an experiment plan and scheme to investigate SUR1 interactions and effects in central nervous system injuries and participated in lab research.

The project aims to understand "how the adaptation of the microbiome to the host's malnutrition affects the host's own fitness which involves colonizing Drosophila larvae with bacterial communities evolved under different dietary conditions and quantifying the larval development time and survival.

The research was about an understanding of the mechanism of wnt pathway regulation to contribute the therapeutic approaches for wnt-related human diseases. The research characterized the unknown mechanism of wnt-receptor complex formation in the development and regeneration of zebrafish.

The project was about understanding how non-coding RNAs regulate cellular phenotypes, such as apoptosis, cell motility, and proliferation in the context of human cell lines, specifically HeLa cells. To this extent, we take advantage of biochemical, genetics, and genomics tools to screen ncRNAs for phenotype-genotype association and molecular characterization.
