About Serkan Kurt

Responsibilities:- International Reliability Team Leader - Fuel Rail Assembly (FRA) - High Pressure Injectors (HDEV)- Design for Reliability (DfR) Team Leader (FRA + HDEV)- Simulation and Validation Team Leader (FRA);Expertises:- Reliability Engineering - Certified Design for Reliability (DfR) Expert;- DRBFM (Design Review Based Failure Modes) L4 Expert- Simulation (FEA) Expert- Fatigue ExpertRELIABLE PRODUCTS:I am a product developer both in my professional life and as one of my hobby. In engineering, Design for Reliability (DfR) is most common technology and methodology to develop reliable products.Reliability: The expectation an item will perform its expected function, in an expected environment, for an expected period of time without exceeding expected failure levels under defined failure criteria.Method consists of the main lanes as function, service life, damage mechanism, failure modes and the failure probability of the product. Loads which come from the users during service life of the product must be lower than the load capability of the product in order to derive the failure probability by also using statistical methods (Gauss, Weibull etc). Loads and the load capability are examined by numerical approaches such as finite element modelling, computational fluid dynamics etc. and several test methods. Creation of the mathematical model by Finite Element Method (FEM) is one of the most challenging task that helps the engineers to get a mechanic, thermodynamic or electromagnetic response on the system level or design element level of the product. Testing methods are also important part of the product development in order to derive the load capability of the product. Testing is time consuming and not a cost effective method but also not negligible in first prototyping. The aim of the DfR is to prove the quality of the product and to create a valuable brand by gaining the customer satisfaction.

Listed skills include Finite Element Analysis, Ansys, Cae, Mechanical Engineering, and 18 others.
