About Serra Gürcan

Hi there, After graduating from Chemistry Department for my bachelorette in 2013, I shifted my academic career to Pharmaceutical Sciences. Being enthusiastic about drug delivery systems pushed me to generate a better understanding in the field that resulted in setting up collaborations with the international academic labs and with the industry, too. In December 2020, I completed my doctoral research in the nucleic acid delivery field as a Ph.D. fellow at UMR CNRS 8612.Working on several projects such as siRNA delivery, solid lipid nanoparticles, polymeric micelles, and semi-solid formulations expanded my knowledge in various applications together with enlarged my soft skills. Plus, conducting a Ph.D. in combined therapy using SLNs and siRNA helped me understand the physical-chemical and the intercellular behavior of lipoplexes and nanoparticles through analytical instruments and interpreting data to generate a full comprehension into variable key parameters that play important roles in their actions. Very glad to work as a SME which paves the way for combining my scientific and interaction skills and allows me to develop wider knowledge on drug delivery systems from concept to clinic. Eager to take on roles that are collaborative, analytical, challenging.
