While operating in a known Taliban stronghold, Staff Sergeant Bozeman conducted 96 dismounted missions in arduous terrain, under constant threat of insurgent attack he prosecuted and safely eliminating 64 IEDs through his efforts ensuring Coalition and Afghani people were free from this insidious method of attack. Furthermore, the intelligence and biometric data gleaned from these devices were critical in the identification and categorization of 6 enemy bomb facilitators. Staff Sergeant Bozeman played a pivotal role in OPERATION SECOND STRIKE II, designed to clear, hold, and deny the highly volatile region around Adamzai Village to the enemy. In fact, after inserting by helicopter his team, singly and on foot, supported 2 battalions of Task Force 1-10 Battle Group across a 4 square kilometer battle space safely engaging and eliminating 12 IEDs and destroying 400 small arms weapons and IED making munitions ensuring the safety of 250 Coalition troops and the overall success of the operation. -
