Software Developer
CurrentThe company allows internal rotation and relocation:"Wormhole" SWE intern. The project was to develop from scratch a way to embed any Windows apps into Java Swing apps. The resulting library allowing easy-to-use and seamless embedding and doing all the inter-process communication under the hood automatically was later used in the company product "Rider"."Hyperskill" Kotlin Teaching Track Lead. I made decisions which lessons and projects should be written, reviewed new Kotlin and Android lessons and projects, addressed learners' feedback, did tests and bug reports myself. Attached link description contains info on my non-manager tasks."Projector" SWE. As a single developer, and almost from scratch, created a server-side library and a browser client to stream and control Java Swing apps remotely (the use is JetBrains Remote Development). The server side was required to run even without any windowing system (headlessly), so besides investigating and recreating the rendering pipeline and user actions, I implemented window manager-like features. I communicated with other teams, and e.g. added Projector support to other products like JetBrains Space. During hackathons, I leveraged my designed platform-independent core and lightweightness of the client side, and created native mobile and game-engine-based Projector-compatible clients to prove that Projector is made as a universal remote access solution. I became the Technical Lead of the project and mentored 5 interns. The peak user count of Projector is estimated as tens of thousands."Toolbox App" SWE. I did Windows, Linux, and macOS-integration-related tasks, but my main activity was owning the Toolbox Feed subsystem – a protocol of the app to get new tools and versions. For scalability and reliability, it was carefully designed as a set of static files behind CDN – the user count was about 2M.Other SWE full-time and 20% activities: e.g. "Space" Desktop App, "internal learning", "internal development".
