Accomplishments: Modular Design - Flame Grills: Performed modifications resulting in reduction in design time (25-30%) and total manufacturing time (15%). Machines became capable of being refurbished and reassembled on site by replacing faulty modules.  Micro Flame Grill: Modified design resulted in reduction of cleaning & maintenance time by 25% and greater customer satisfaction.  Diamond Brander: Designed and developed a modular branding mechanism with a diamond pattern and made it scalable and adaptable to any flame grill for a continuous branding operation. Later adopted the mechanism for other branding patterns.

Accomploshments: Weld /Assembly Fixture: Designed welding fixtures for radiant sections that also facilitated shooting of refractory for API heaters. Improved fabrication time, quality and reduced rework by 50%.  Convection Box - Pipe Install: Designed fork-lift attachment for insertion of heavy pipe sections into the convection module. Improved fabrication time by 20%.  Fuel Gas System design: Performed mechanical design of fuel gas systems used to supply heaters with natural gas and compressed air.

Accomplishments: Project SOFIA, NASA: Deliver Oil Cooler to NASA team on an expedited timeline for launch of the Stratospheric Observatory on a modified Boeing 747 Airplane.  Modular Test & Flush Systems: Developed a few flow/pressure testing systems for the FAT lab with focus on cleaner conditions, accuracy and faster testing and flushing.  Investigation (Brazing Failures): Led a team of 3 to investigate vacuum brazing failures, resulting in 20% increase in yield and reduction in weld repairs.  Fixtures (Welding, Machining & Brazing): Developed a fixture for welding oil coolers for the MGOCA project. Also developed/modified stacking and brazing fixtures for other heat exchangers.  Qualification - Fuel-Oil Heat exchanger: Managed qualification of the product through planning, testing, report writing and delivery phases of the project. This included product design modification, fixture design and development of pressure/flow testing systems.
