I am an experienced financial consultant specializing in forensic investigations, litigation support, dispute analyses, damage assessment, independent reviews, and auditing. I was a member of the Manhattan DA’s construction task force and assisted with the NYC School Construction Authority – Office Inspector General’s supervision of various monitorship agreements. I have “Big Four” consulting and audit experience and advised both international and US based companies in a wide range of industries including financial services, construction, manufacturing, and consumer products. I have interacted with Boards of Directors, Audit Committees, C-Suite executives, independent auditors, top-tier law firms, and government enforcement agencies including the U.S. DOJ, SEC and various District Attorney offices.I am currently providing consulting services. I am providing claims review and analyses for a re-insurance intermediary and performing accounting supervision and special project assistance for an apparel marketing company, wholesale clothing distribution firm, and medical office.While at the NYC SCA - OIG, I uncovered: - Improperly comingling of funds for projects that were required to be funded from a specific source with funds for other types of projects including “Hurricane Sandy” funds for non-Hurricane Sandy projects and use of "Emergency Funding" in non-emergency situations; - Use of SCA funds on non-school related projects, such as COVID testing centers at JFK and LGA airports, as well as for the cleaning of Rikers Island jails; - Use of Emergency Response contractors in non-emergency situations such as the construction of Universal Pre-Kindergartens and other politically sensitive projects. These projects were in the hundreds of millions of dollars.Prior to joining the SCA OIG, my career included over 15 years in the global investigative and audit practices of international consulting and Big Four accounting firms. I conducted numerous investigations into financial reporting irregularities, foreign corrupt practices act violations, revenue recognition issues and employee embezzlements / misuse of corporate funds. I performed analyses related to M&A disputes in various industries including equipment manufacturing, construction, and transportation.I earned a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the University of Maryland. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
