Prism aims to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace through technology. We have three main pillars: equipment rentals, industry-relevant training courses, and study spaces. As the President of Prism I report directly to the Office of the Dean for the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. The President is responsible for:- Managing a team of 25 part-time and full-time employees with four functional departments- Overseeing an annual budget of $700,000 and assets valued at $250,000- Leveraged skills and experience of direct reports that resulted in a 97% customer retention rate, the highest retention rate since Prism's inception in 1991- Currently working to develop and execute an organization-wide strategy that meets objectives developed by Wilfrid Laurier University.- Identifying operational inefficiencies and developing a plan to mitigate these inefficiencies- Working with the Dean's Office to bring Prism in line with University policies and standards through the change of organizational culture and formalization of policies and procedures- Maintaining relationships and open lines of communications between Prism and the Dean of Business' office and other faculty- Began using data to make informed decisions and track the change in this data to ensure progress Show less
