As a quality team member, I am responsible for checking the battery frames for proper placement, size, and condition of welds done by robotic welders to insure no defects are present. In the event of a defect in a weld, either a weld repair technician or myself will be tasked with repairing the defective weld. Alongside the visual inspection, I have to document which welds needed repairs and what was defective so the robot program can be fine tuned accordingly.

As a lab technician at the Red Cross, I was responsible for receiving shipments of blood donations and processing them accordingly. Donations would have to be loaded into centrifuges and separated into plasma and whole blood components and sealed off. Components would then be prepared to be shipped to hospital blood banks as needed.

I started my time at Parsons learning a vertical machine center but quickly branched off into learning the manuals and the 5 axis machine center. The parts I ran would range anywhere from simple vise work to large scale table setups. I typically built all my own setups and did all the proving out of the programming and tooling as well as doing a first part inspection along with periodic inspection depending on part count. I used calipers, inside and outside micrometers, bore micrometers, bore gauges, and check pins on a regular basis to insure the quality of the parts I was making and I am comfortable with setting up most types of gages for use.
