My interest in digital media was established in my childhood years when I discovered that making my own movies on a VHS camcorder allowed me to tell stories in exactly the way that I wanted to tell them. However, I didn’t realize that all the summer afternoons spent recording hours of grainy VHS video were the seed of my growing appreciation for visual storytelling and how powerful visual stories can be. I have since continued to pursue visual storytelling throughout my academic career and personal life, which has allowed me to develop my creative skills and has exposed me to a variety of valuable tools. My accomplishments in digital media include knowledge of and familiarity with non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, and DaVinci Resolve. I also have experience working with additional software such as Final Draft, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and Avid Pro Tools. I have experience working with a variety of digital production tools such as DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, RED cameras, lighting equipment, microphones and grip equipment.
