Instructs US and international students to produce world class aviators who will go on to fly fighter, mobility and reconnaissance aircraft. Focus is on basic aircraft control, standards and safety. Responsible for taking a student from zero flight time to a winged aviator in 6 months. Instructs new instructor pilots on local area procedures and risk management prior to flying with students. Leads a team of 5-members verifying training currency, records and upgrades for 100 pilots.

Instructed new co-pilots and aircraft commanders in the C-17A focusing on pre-mission airfield suitability, weather, ICAO operations, aerial refueling, low-level navigation, and austere field operations. Instruction was a combination of mentorship, team building, and evaluation to prepare pilots to operate a heavy aircraft globally. Led a 105-member team in charge of base-wide command and control as well as the COVID-19 response for 10,000 personnel, reporting directly to the base commander.

Trained and mentored crew members on global operations emphasizing air refueling operations, crew resource management, risk management, and teamwork. As an instructor, it was essential to offer growth opportunities for co-pilots and aircraft commanders in every mission environment, allowing them to safely develop their own expertise in real-world situations. Maximized aircrew training, upgrades, certifications and pilot currencies for two 100-member squadrons.

Pilot on global strategic and tactical combat missions. I focused on mastering the skills of a co-pilot while learning about and utilizing crew resource management and teamwork across challenging environments, including ocean crossings (NATS, PACOTs), ICAO procedures, CP/DLC, and Euro Control. I employed a heavy aircraft across 5 continents including combat and combat support sorties. I oversaw the standardization, evaluation and upgrade process for a 100-member unit.
