I was a member of the team that maintains Thrift: a high performance RPC and serialization library/framework that powers all services at Meta. My focus was on improving the reliability, observability, and performance of the Thrift server and related components.

I was the lead engineer on the backend infrastructure team at Eventbrite. My team was responsible for building the tooling necessary to realize the architectural vision of the platform. Our tools made the platform faster and more reliable while also making engineers more productive and happier.

DineTouch was an application that allowed patrons at participating restaurants to order and pay for their food using their smartphone.As CTO of the startup, I was the primary architect and engineer of the platform. Other responsibilities of my role included managing a small team of in house developers, negotiating contracts with major POS system providers, and raising capital.

Wrote utilities for managing HPC jobs on NICS supercomputers at Oak Ridge National Lab
