Mr. Hamblin is a registered as Professional Engineer in 5 New England States and New York and has a strong work history in providing geotechnical and structural design and construction services, including instrumentation, to the heavy civil construction industry. With project experience ranging from pile driving in Alaska to managing the installation and monitoring of complex geotechnical instrumentation programs in Chicago and across the East Coast, Seth has worked on and managed a diverse array of successful Heavy Civil projects. Seth is well known and respected for his work with foundation and marine contractors throughout New England, New York and New Jersey. In addition, Seth is a co-chair of the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Technical Committee on Driven Piles, and is a board member of the Rhode Island Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Mr. Hamblin was a Senior Project Manager in the contractor services (SRI) division of GZA and is responsible for the planning and execution of various geotechnical and environmental engineering projects. Seth’s two primary areas of expertise at GZA include the design, construction, and testing of shallow and deep foundations and the design, installation, and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation systems. With project experience ranging from pile driving in Alaska to managing the installation and monitoring complex geotechnical instrumentation programs across the east coast, Seth has worked on and managed a diverse array of successful projects in his 12+ years at GZA. His responsibilities also included managing and scheduling engineer staff in the execution of geotechnical and environmental engineering field assignments.

Mr. Hamblin was a project manager in the contractor services (SRI) division of GZA and carried out office and field engineering tasks for numerous geotechnical and environmental engineering projects. His primary responsibilities included managing the installation and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation systems, reducing engineering data and creating interpretive reports for clients, dynamic and static testing of piles, boring and test pit explorations, and oversight of environmental remediation projects and associated sampling.
