Day to day management of the project implementation; mostly focusing on advocacy with relevant stakeholders in the government, private sector, and CSOs. I also ensure quality performance with the project's subgrantees where I facilitate regular discussions among the subs for inculcating the practice of Monitoring for Learning and Adaptation (MLA). Keeping the donor agency (USAID) appraised on daily successes and challenges met in the course of the project implementation through periodic (weekly/monthly/quarterly) reports; is another key task I perform.

TOLERANCE (Training Of Leaders on Religious and National Coexistence) Project is a USAID funded program being implemented in 7 State of Nigeria namely Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, Borno, Bauchi, Plateau and Imo. The major goal of the project is to promote inter-religious understanding and tolerance for good governance.The University of Massachusetts (UMass) Boston and Interfaith Mediation Center (IMC) are principal partners for implementation of the project. UMass' major activities are to build IMC's capacity for effective implementation of the project. It is in this regard UMass employed Seth Karamage to manage this project while residing full time in Nigeria.Seth's specific tasks are to coordinate the program implementation by supporting IMC in organizational development, strategic program planning, monitoring and evaluation, project review and project funds management. He also assists IMC in training its staff and target audiences on Reflective Structured Dialogue (RSD). UMass is further mandated to establish an early warning and early response system in the above states--Seth oversees this system and he has successfully established CPAN (Community Action Network) a local based EWER platform run by IMC which has played a big role in averting violent related rumors, electoral violence etc.
