As began to branch into million dollar projects, the level of detail required to estimate these projects accurately was demanding. Being self educated in this area, the chance to validate and grow my technical knowledge with such and esteemed firm was a wonderful opportunity. At DPB learned AutoCAD drafting as I designed and performed project management for nurse call and fire alarm systems in acute care facilities and medical office buildings.Eventually however, I found I missed the level of customer interaction that sales provided me.

Here I worked closely with Architect and Engineer groups learning the details of nurse call and the Healthcare market.

As I first branched into the fire alarm and construction market from CCTV, my understanding of building code and fire alarm technology was woefully inadequate. So Charles Beyer offered to put me in the field as an apprentice to learn these functions. He assisted me in qualifying for and completing my NICET certifications and after a year or so moved me into a sales role. I consider that time one of the career building blocks that empowered me to build the foundation I have today.
