My name is Seth Kraklow. Ever since I was a child I have been interested in working with computers. I learned the basics of Windows, from partitioning hard drives and installing various software on an old Windows 95 Packard Bell when I was 6 years old. Ever since then I have loved computers and knew that I wanted to work with them. As a result I learned how to build my own computers, manage my own home network, port forward, administrate servers, etc. Eventually, I wanted to learn to program, so after my Bachelor’s degree in 2012, I took more courses and received an Associate’s of Science in Computer Science in 2015. When that wasn’t enough, I wanted to learn what it would take to manage and administer networks and servers on a larger scale. In 2016 I started coursework at California Technical Academy to begin my journey into gaining industry standard certifications. I managed to complete the program in 7 months and was awarded the following certifications, Comptia A+, Security+, Microsoft Specialist: Windows 7, and MCSA: Server 2012. In my current role, I am an IT System Administrator. While in this role, I used the various skills that I had picked up from schooling to maintain the company’s Linux Server, Windows Server, network infrastructure, company laptops and desktops, VoIP phones, Xerox and HP printers, and Google Workspace Domain. I was also able to use my programming background to administer and program for the company’s filePro database platform. I still wasn’t done learning, so in my own free time I also studied and managed to get the Network+ certification, as well as a certification offered through Coursera from Google for G Suite Administration (now known as Google Workspace). I am a fast and eager learner who wants to continue growing my talents and skills.
